A Short Note of Appreciation and Encouragement
To The Attendees of
The International Smokers Rights Conference

I don't know why it took me so long to become an
activist on the Good Guys' side of the war that has
been declared against the freedom of Americans and the
rest of this world to make their own choice as to
whether or not they will use tobacco products. I
suppose the reason has to do with the fact that I am
the type of person who has always enjoyed the benefits
of living my life in this free country of The United
States of America, which has always considered the
right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness
sacred values, and was so busy focusing on my own
life, that I somewhat ignored the fact that our sacred
values, and thus our country, were under attack by the
ever present forces of tyranny.

Yes, of course I realize we all have a duty to defend
America and the freedom it stands for, and I was under
the grossly mistaken impression that I had fulfilled
my obligation to do just that by serving in the U.S.
Marine Corps way back in the 60's. However, there is
nothing that the Marines or any other branch of our
fine military can do to defend America against an
attack from within by those with the same obsession to
destroy our sacred values as those tyrants in foreign
countries who we felt the need to sacrifice our
peacetime productivity, lives, health, and staggering
amounts of money to fought wars against.

I firmly believe that currently, the biggest threat to
America are not insane foreign dictators or
terrorists, but this recent wave of dictatorial
insanity that has been sweeping our country these past
few years. There can be no question that the part of
that wave which is the most insane is the War on
Tobacco. Consequently, there can be no question that
those of you attending The International Smokers
Rights Conference who have committed to fight on the
side of freedom in this war, are clearly among the
finest people America and the world has to offer and I
have never felt so proud to join anyone in a fight as
I do now.

In the end, we will win and this dark period of time
in history will go down in infamy along with the
obsessed tyrants who created it! The best of luck in
coming up with solutions at the conference and thank
you all for your undying commitments!
